  1. Hi Kirsty! Last year after Christmas and because it was winter and because there was a movie version coming out I read Winter’s Tale by Mark Helprin. This book is set in New York and is about a theif and a woman he is in love with and a magical horse and his journey traveling through time to the present day. The author is a Republican and the book was slightly religious and that did not really bother me. I have recently watched the movie version and the book is much better and also quite long and it is filled with even more stories and characters that are mentioned in the novel. Sometime this winter I do plan on reading The Snow Child mostly because of your lovely description and because I own a copy of it already. I hope that you are enjoying this winter season! Sincerely, Nora

    • Hi Nora! Oh, that sounds fabulous! I’ll have to add it to the to-read-soon list in that case. I hope you enjoy ‘The Snow Child’ – let me know how you get on with it!
