Book Haul (April 2014)

For the first time, I don’t feel guilty for posting a book haul, as I did not purchase any of the books which I have received of late!  All of the following were very kindly sent to me for review from the lovely people at Penguin, Vintage and Virago.

Penguin:
The Moon is Down by John Steinbeck, in a beautiful little edition.

Vintage:
– Four Gladys Mitchell crime novels, which look marvellous: Here Comes a Chopper, Speedy Death, The Devil at Saxon Wall and The Longer Bodies
Levels of Lifeby Julian Barnes
Frances and Bernard by Carlene Bauer

Virago:
– Three gorgeous Angela Thirkell novels – Summer Half, August Folly and The Brandons

It looks as though days of wonderful reading will stretch ahead!
