Christmas Reading

Since December is upon us, I thought that it would be a good idea to talk about Christmas and winter-themed books.  I have rather a lot lined up on my to-read pile for this month.  The books which I am hoping to get to are as follows:

The Christmas Truce: The Western Front, December 1914 by Malcolm Johnston Brown- Wenceslas by Carol Ann Duffy
The Christmas Truce by Carol Ann Duffy (re-read)
Winter’s Tales by Isak Dinesen (Karen Blixen)
A Girl in Winter by Philip Larkin
The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey (re-read)
The Snow Goose by Paul Gallico
Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah
Box of Delights by John Masefield
The Adventure of the Christmas Pudding by Agatha Christie
No Holly for Miss Quinn by Miss Read
Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan (re-read)

Which Christmas- and winter-themed books are on your to-read list this year?

  1. Oh you are so good! You really will be in the mood by the time Christmas comes 🙂 I think I shall just limit myself to some soppy Christmas movies.
